This is the thing I have found with praising God: it reminds me not only who He is but also what He has done for me. No matter what situation that I go through, even if it is unchartered territory and bigger than I can even really imagine it doesn’t matter. God’s ability to come through for me is not situation based. His power to provide, to heal, to restore, to redeem doesn’t depend on what I am facing, He is God! And when you and I praise God, we are reminding our souls of His benefits, the times that He HAS healed our diseases and the times that He HAS crowned us with love and compassion. It moves our focus from the problem, which may seem big onto Jesus who is always bigger. As we praise we remind our souls that our God is strong (Job 36:5), He is faithful (Deuteronomy 7:9), He is good (Psalm 100:5) and He is always present (Matthew 28:20).
Remember that no matter what we face or how big our problem may seem, we serve a God that can and will ALWAYS meet our needs and will satisfy our desires with good things!
