Does a sense of peace seem to you, nothing more than at the most a beautiful dream? The human heart longs for peace. You see, we all face stress. The death of someone you loved, an accident on your way home, or the loss of your job can leave you struggling with feelings of hopelessness, doubt, and confusion. We all know that money can buy the things of this world but cannot satisfy our inner longing for peace.
It's a given. At times, our world is very chaotic. However, nothing we encounter is beyond God’s reach. No problem is too great for Him to solve. No stress is too much for Him to handle. Jesus understands what it feels like to be under pressure. Listen again to His promise to you: “You will keep in perfect peace …” It literally means “PEACE,PEACE.” This double emphasis indicates a peace that goes beyond human comprehension. IT IS A PEACE THAT REALLY IS A PEACE.
Right now, in your current situation do you trust the Lord Jesus totally? Are you leaning entirely upon Him and Him alone? My friend, it’s been justly said that what we fix our minds or hearts on has direct relationship to the level of peace we possess. Nothing but the Lord Jesus Christ ever completely satisfies, because your soul was made for Him. Corrie Ten Boom said, “If you look around, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look to Jesus, you’ll be at rest.” That is where the peace comes from. HE IS THE PRINCE OF PEACE!
